I am excited to share with you the inspiring story of Alpakita. Our journey began in 2000...
The Story of Alpakita
...when my mom decided to make cardigans for the dolls in kindergarten.
These simple beginnings were the seed from which Alpakita would grow. Soon after, our horizons expanded from doll clothes to children's clothes that found favor in Waldorf kindergartens and schools.
Our goal was to create not only beautiful but also practical clothing that grows with the children. A child can wear a jacket for at least 3 years, a principle that focuses on sustainability and appreciation.
Our journey would not have been possible without the talented hands of our knitters. Starting with 3 knitters: Mrs. Jetti, Mrs. Esther and Mrs. Irene, today we are a community of 35 women and one man. Each brings their unique skills and passion to each piece we offer. The women all knit by hand and Mr. Hernán by machine, each technique bringing its own beauty and quality to our products.

What makes our products truly unique is the love and care that goes into each and every piece. Each piece has a soul and that is something we value deeply at Alpakita. Our team is spread across different cities, from Caraz to Lima, and each of them puts a part of their heart into their work.
A Community of Gratitude
The bond between us and our customers is something I particularly value. I know all the women personally, and our customers' stories, their gratitude and small gestures of appreciation are what keep this bond alive. It is a joy to share these stories with our knitters and show them how their work is appreciated.
