Vitoria Escate de Pajuelo
With a passion for knitting, Vitoria Escate de Pajuelo began knitting sweaters for her grandson 20 years ago. This, together with the commitment of her emigrated daughter Judy in Germany, led to the creation of the social project "Alpakita", which now employs a large number of knitters in disadvantaged communities in Peru.
Today, Vita no longer sends goods but coordinates the knitters in the neighboring region of Ancash. She checks the finished products and gives them the finishing touches before organizing delivery to the capital, Lima.
